Ceramic Tools (provided but remain with the studio)
Ceramic Planter Concepts in a Sketchbook
What to expect
Spend some creative time in the studio creating a ceramic planter with artist Mariah Ordoñez. In the first session, students will learn how to design and hand build a ceramic planter. This must be done carefully using certain methods to prevent air bubbles which can cause damage in the firing. Between the two sessions, planters will be dried out and bisque fired. In the second session (two weeks later) students will return to Black Barn to create the finished glazes. Planters will be fired after this session and a time will be arranged to return to Black Barn for picking up the finished planters.
