This workshop is designed to teach students how to draw a realistic portrait from life, using the classical method of drawing. Over the course of the day, students will learn traditional techniques to create portraits using both mirrors and photographic references. We will finish the day by putting these techniques to use in working with a live model.
Materials Required:
*Drawing pad- no smaller than 9”x12” and no larger than 11”x14”
*Pencil and eraser–preferably a Mechanical pencil (Pentel Twist- Erase 0.7 is recommended– The Instructor will have some available if needed)
*Kneaded rubber eraser
